Why we built it
Most hiring tools are built for full-time roles: application forms, screening rounds, a two-week wait. That machinery is useless when you need two people and a van on Sunday, or when you have a free afternoon and want paid work today.
The alternatives aren't much better. Community groups bury posts under other conversation within hours. Classified sites mix a request for a dog-walker in with used furniture and rental scams. Gig platforms take a cut of every job, set the price for you, and keep the two people involved from ever talking directly.
So we built the simplest thing that could work: a public list of small jobs, sorted newest first, searchable by category and location, where the poster's own contact details are right there on the listing. You talk to each other. You agree the price. You settle up in person. We stay out of it.
What we do — and deliberately don't do

Where we are right now
Find Me Job is early. We would rather say that plainly than dress it up:
- Coverage is thin. We are starting in Ontario, Canada, and the board is genuinely quiet while we build up posters and workers in each area. If you post today, you are early — not late.
- Everything you post is public. A job you create is stored on our server and shown to every visitor, with no account needed. Posts that trip a spam check wait for a person to review them first, and every listing expires after 45 days.
- Accounts don't exist yet. No sign-up, no password, no profile. That keeps posting fast, and it keeps the amount of personal data we hold close to zero.

Who runs this
Find Me Job is an independent project run from Ontario, Canada. It is not affiliated with any staffing agency, recruiter, gig-work platform, or government employment service. The site is funded by advertising, which is why you may see ads alongside the listings — that is what keeps posting free for everyone on both sides of a job.
Questions, corrections, press, or a listing that needs taking down: use the contact form and a real person will reply.
